Episode 66
"In those dark days, I learnt that you are not your thoughts, we just need to be kind to ourselves."
Ash Farrington spent thirty years in policing, retiring as a Detective Chief Inspector. He achieved national accreditations as a hostage negotiator, Senior Investigating Officer and Public Safety and Public Order commander. Ash then qualified as a leadership coach and has considerable coaching experience and leadership development that has included working with the British Army, HM Prison Service, Fire and Rescue Service as well as with colleagues in the Police Service.
This episode comes from an interview I had with Ash for the Sporting Edge Members Club. It was a truly enlightening conversation about compassionate leadership and how we can all be more kind. Ash talks openly about his own battle with clinical depression, and how we can look out for warning signs.
